My New Kitchen Aid Mixer and The Inaugural Recipe

My New Kitchen Aid Mixer and

The Inaugural Recipe

My new Almond Cream Kitchen Aid Mixer from William Sonoma..

I LOVE it. It’s BEAUTIFUL. I really wanted the mint green color! But i decided that i might not always want my future kitchens to be mint green, by obligation. So i choose the Almond Cream, which i love! I thought the white was boring and the black looks cheap. But, the Almond Cream looks more vintage-y!

On January 1st, 2012

I used my mixer for the very first time. I decided to go with the classic “Chocolate Chip Cookies” for my inaugural recipe.

Not just any Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe! This isn’t the plain, regular recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag. This is MUCH better. I’ve never really like the recipe on the back of the bag. It doesn’t even come close to this recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

1 Stick of Salted Butter

1 Cup of Sugar

1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar

2 Eggs

2 Cups and 4 Tbsp of Flour

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 and 1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp HOT water

1 tsp Vanilla

12 oz. Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

DO NOT budge on the extra 4 tbsp of flour or the HOT water. If you follow this recipe exactly it will turn out amazing!  Directions to follow.

Mr. Mixer does all the work.

All you do is add the ingredients and turn up the speed.

Preheat Oven to 350°

Step One: Cream together butter, sugars, and eggs.

Step Two: Add flour, soda, salt, vanilla and HOT water. Mix well.

Step Three: Add Chocolate Chips and optional chopped nuts.

Step Four: Spoon onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Small – Medium sized Cookies Bake for 8-10 mins

Large sized Cookies bake for 10-12mins.

ENJOY!
