Braided Headbands!
Materials
↓
Scissors
Measuring Tape
Sewing Machine
One 6″ piece of Elastic
2 Safety Pin
3-6 pieces of Fabric (About 18″ long, each.)
Step One
Choose three strips of fabric. Pin them together, preferably against something.
(I pinned them to my ironing bored.)
Step Two
Braid them together as if you were braiding hair.
Step Three
When your finished braiding, straight stitch the ends.
Wait! Before you attach your braid to your elastic, just one thing.. You can make more braids and sew them together, then add the elastic. You could make a double braided headband, or triple, etc. You could even make some longer braids and make them into a necklace or bracelet.. Use some as a strap for a bag. Get CREATIVE. :)
Step Four
Add your elastic. You can either hand sew your elastic on or do the same as step three.
