Burlap Beauty.

Paris NO. 1

We had a patio set that was gold rod iron with glass for the table, the chairs gold with white striped seats. We had been looking at new patio sets to buy but never found one we loved. So one day my mom and i were walking through this antique like store. Some stuff they buy but most is what the make or remake. So we see this set of four chairs. Each chair id black wood, basic simple, but cute. The seats are covered in burlap and each chair has a number stamped on it. That’s it. Plain and simple. They were asking $175 for EACH chair. Which by the way weren’t antique, you could tell they had make them. They looked really great! But not that great. My first though was something like this: “Really… Even i could make that”. So my mom and i decided to swing my Michaels on the way home. First we look at burlap, which is sold at an awesome price. Then we look at stamps. We find a Fleur De Lis stamp for $1. Then we found a  box set of stamps that included the alphabet and every number, which i believe was only about $5. Next we looked at paint, which for a big bottle of black paint was probably no more than $3. Then we went over to Home Depot to buy spray paint, they have a great off brand that’s only $1 per can, we bought five. That brand only sells black and white, but still. I say all this to show you this..

Needless to say we bought the burlap, stamps, and paint.

For under $25 maybe $30, we turned our boring patio chairs into something bueatiful! We absolutely love them! We recieve so many compliments on them when people come over.

My next project will be matching place mates for it’s table.. With burlap and the even numbers stamped on them.
